In order to have a successful Direct Sales Business, you have to look at it similar to a owning a store. Each and Every day you must OPEN YOUR BUSINESS. Think of it as putting a key in the door and flipping the sign to OPEN! What are you doing today and every day to OPEN your Direct Sales Business?? Here's a little schedule I challenge you all to follow and see what it does for your business...Try and spend at least 1-2 hours a day building your business!

~Mail Out Monday
~Take Out Tuesday
~Work Your Email List Wednesday
~Talk It Up Thursday
~Facebook Friday
~Social Media Saturday

Also, throughout this challenge, be sure to keep catalogs, business cards, and samples on hand. GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!!

Monday - mail out atleast ONE piece of literature. (More if possible And NOT email!!) It can be a new catalog or a coupon... host, or join brochure. Choose one person, HANDWRITE a little note to go with it and mail it! Write a thank you to a hostess. Put a business card in with your bills.

Tuesday - Grab your catalogs, brochures, or samples and take them everywhere you go on Tuesday. If you don't have anywhere to go...find someplace to go! Work, Starbucks, McDonalds, in line at the grocery store…somewhere…anywhere…JUST SHARE!

Wednesday –Work on your email list. Add any friends from facebook, past parties and events. Add extra email addresses you have aquired into your O2 Connection newsletter database. Mail out a weekly special or remind them of your site for gift giving.

Thursday - Call and talk to TEN people about your business. Talk to them about joining your team, hosting a party or purchasing something! This is on the phone (or face-to-face talk)...no email/Facebook talk please.  Give a call to a former host or customer to ask how they are enjoying their locket.
NOTE: Making a goal of talking to 10 people a day (all forms of contacts are great) is a really good way to fill your calendar and build your team fast. Even if you do not hit your goal everyday I guarantee you will talk to more people than if you had not been working on that goal :)

Friday – Facebook Friday! Work your facebook. Getting new likes/networking.

Social Media Saturday-Join twitter, instagram, pinterest and linked in. Post pics. Tweet it up. Facebook your friends about hosting a party or joining your team.

AND a few more tips for what to do when your business is "open"...

*Try and engage your fans daily with a post on your facebook fan page

*Use Instagram and Pinterest to share pics of some of our beautiful custom creations!

* Make sure you always have at least 3 sponsor packets /hostess packets ready to go at all times.

*If you have blank business cards print coupons on them to pass out.

*Check O2 loop and back office once daily for current news!

*Keep your eye out for special vendor events in your area that you may be worth setting up your table.  You never know where your next hostess or team member may be!

*BE YOU! And wear your lockets, tagged collection and soho collection pieces as much as you possibly can when you are out and about. Everyone that asks you about your jewelry is a potential Hostess or Designer!

*Be a force for good. To give is better than to receive.

Hope this helps...it helped me when I found it and started to apply :)

Tony Robbins is by far one of my favorite speakers today.  One of my goals is to attend his Unleash the Power Within seminar and do the Fire Walk! Check out this YouTube video "Tiny Changes Mean Huge Results" and utilize what you learn to help you in your O2 business.
JEFFERY TELLS IT LIKE IT IS!

Jeffery Gitomer writes some of the funniest, straight to the point, all-killer-no-filler sales books I have ever read. And I've read a lot! His 'YES! Attitude' book is my favorite but I also {LOVE} 'The Little Red Book of Selling'! Here is one of his videos that I found on YouTube. This guy knows his stuff. Apply even his basic teachings to your business and I promise it will make a difference!
I loved the 5 Beliefs he gives us. Use "I" at the beginning of those sentences and read those every day that you sit down to your home office to "work"!

Hope you enjoyed the videos today. There are tons of great resources online, at the local library or book store to help you build your business from home.  Take advantage of all the great knowledge out there to build your sales muscles!

PASSION: Your passion for your business will shine bright in every thing you do. Passion is contagious. Use it to your advantage. Show your passion anytime you are talking about your business. It will pay off. I promise.
POSITIVE ATTITUDE: Attitude is everything.  If you have a bad attitude about your business or your customers; you are going to create friction that you do not want or need. On the other hand, when you have a great attitude about your business and your customers; you will see less problems to solve and more customer loyalty! In an upcoming “Book Club” of sorts I am going to challenge everyone to read a small book by Jeffery Gittomer called YES Attitude! It is a very fun read and a really good take on how a YES Attitude can change not only your business but your every day life is such an amazing way. So keep your eye out for that coming soon!
PRACTICE: From where you are right now, practice what you know and always search out new techniques to practice. Some will work for you and some may not...but the best way to find out what works best for you and your business is to PRACTICE :) With practice you will increase your bookings and sales while building a solid confidence. Challenge yourself to get to a point where if your calendar ever looks slim, you have the power to rebuild it. With time & practice under your belt you will intentionally attract others to schedule with you.
PERSISTENCE: Be persistent in actions that help you schedule parties and increase sales. Be persistent with checking your back office, emails and facebook messages. Be persistent with follow ups! The fortune IS in the FOLLOW UP! Be persistent with sending  Thank you cards and doing the little things that make you stand out.
PROFESSIONALISM: Last but certainly not least...professionalism should underlie everything you do in business. When in doubt...remain professional!

Jewelry Bars that are already on your calendar may just be the best place to schedule future Jewelry Bars!
Build Party Attendance!
Just remember:
The more people at your parties, the more potential to book future parties.
Work closely with each hostess to help her maximize her party attendance. Use the hostess coaching checklist provided by O2 and see some additional tips below. Please feel free to comment and add your ideas too!

Challenge your hostess to help!
Ask your host to have a booking or two waiting for you...and make it worthwhile!
Also, entice her to re-book after a new catalog is available to earn more free custom jewelry from our newest collections into her collection.

ALSO...Always encourage guests to bring a friend. Write it on the invites, post it on facebook...and offer an incentive. Think about a low-cost or no-cost incentive to offer your hostess when her ordering guests hit 10+.  Use your imagination on this one! Also, think about offering an immediate dating gift for those who book at your party.

Offer to call each guest before the party... Most direct sellers overlook this important step, so making pre-party calls will set you apart!

  • As a service to your hostess, offer to call each guest to confirm  their attendance, and in doing so encourage them to bring a friend.  Making a personal connection with potential guests prior to the party helps you build the “know, like & trust” factor and establishes your standard of customer service. Even leaving a voicemail can highlight your professionalism and show how you support each host. Most direct sellers overlook this step, so making pre-party calls will set yourself apart.  When considering hosting a party for you they are going to remember how you helped their friend have a successful party and that is going to rack up serious brownie points!
PARTY TIME!
Greet Guests with Interest @ Remember Their Names!
Learn something special about each guest in your pre-party chat.
In sales (and life), being interested is always better than being interesting!

  • What do they do? Where do they live? How do they know the hostess? How familiar are they with your product line? and so on... Also, when you sincerely address guests by name, you communicate that they are important to you. If you cannot remember everyones names consider using name tags.

Highlight your Hostess & Promote your Hostess Benefits!
Make each hostess feel appreciated and special.
Promote the benefits of being a hostess through verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Without your hostesses hospitality you would not have a vehicle to help build your business successfully. Publicly acknowledge your hostess and others will be more inclined to host in the future. Make sure you promote the benefits your hostess will receive for hosting and mention that anyone can earn those rewards for simply inviting their friends over for girls night out...complete with shopping! I always have a small stack of hostess reward flyers where I’m sitting taking orders. That way i can hand them one with their receipt and ask if they would like to earn a free shopping spree to take care of everything on their wish list that they may not have ordered that night.

Party with Play!
Always remember, it is a party you are promoting. Infuse fun & laughter into your party process and bookings will follow. The more your guests enjoy the time together, the more they will want to repeat the experience and get their friends together. It is up to you to create the party atmosphere.

$   BOOKING  TREE  $
  • Find something you can hang paper tags on. An earring tree or small frame with pin board will work.
  • Make or buy your paper “tags”.
  • On your paper tags, have an extra incentive on one side and a date that you would like to book on the reverse.
  • Hang them with the incentive facing forward and wait for them to ask what that’s all about...or mention your booking tree when you mention the hostess rewards.
  • This helps get bookings on the days that are best for you.
  • I have even seen ladies ( I think this is how I am going to do my new one) use little picture holder stands using index cards for your booking dates, incentives and space for them to write their info down. I will add some display pictures and ideas soon. That will be a whole new post :)
You are ready to book more parties at your parties!
You are awesome.
Wherever you are in your business right now is the perfect place for you to be...right now.
Remember business "seeds" take about 90 days to grow. Plant your seeds (talking to as many people as possible about your business, dropping off business cards, etc.) and wait for them to grow :) As long as you are consistently working your business and planting seeds your business will continue to grow!

Be grateful.
Be patient.
Be a force for good!
